“When I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

-Carl Rogers

Mindfulness is effective in improving self-control over automatic habits, identifying triggers, and coping with reality as it actually is—not how we perceive it.

Solution Focused

A goal oriented approach that focuses on clients’ strengths and resources to create positive change. A solution focus is forward thinking, and emphasizes what the client wants to achieve, rather than the problem(s) they are struggling with.

Counseling Rates

Rates

-$150 per 50-minute individual counseling session
-$99 per 50-minute drug abuse education session

Accepted Payments

I accept payment via cash, debit or credit card, Zelle, and Apple Pay at the end of each session.

Out of Network Billing

I do not accept insurance at this time. However, if you receive Out of Network (OON) benefits from your insurance coverage I can provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

Why I Don’t Accept Insurance

Mandatory Diagnosis

-Insurance companies require a medically necessary diagnosis to cover therapy. Oftentimes, a person seeking counseling does not qualify for a covered diagnosis, which leaves the potential client either unable to get treatment or with an exaggerated diagnosis. My goal is to help you achieve your goals and focus on the solution.

Confidentiality and Privacy Issues

-When insurance companies pay for treatment, their employees can audit session notes and treatment plans to determine how many sessions will be covered. Only the client and I will have access to our information—nobody else.

Diagnosis Can Negatively Affect other Areas of Life

-Insurance companies store diagnoses and treatment plans in their medical records, which can negatively impact your insurance premiums (ie. Life insurance) or potential employers that request medical records. Our records are 100% private and confidential.

Claim Denials

-If an insurance company denies a claim after treatment, the client is responsible for the bill. I am upfront and clear with the client about the price of counseling sessions.
